Our Mission

We at the Vancouver Tamil Christian Assembly dedicate our Sunday School Ministry to nurturing young believers. Our mission focuses on laying strong spiritual foundations and deepening the understanding of biblical teachings in the hearts of our children. We believe in the importance of early spiritual education, as highlighted in Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This verse inspires us to sow seeds of faith early, equipping them to grow into resilient and faithful individuals.

Engaging Teaching Methods

We achieve our mission through engaging, interactive methods that bring the Word of God to life. Our lessons are designed to spark curiosity and foster a deep connection with God. We use storytelling, creative arts, and multimedia presentations to make biblical teachings relatable and accessible to all ages. These methods help us create a dynamic learning environment that captivates young minds and hearts.

Inclusivity and Support

Our Sunday School is an inclusive space where every child feels valued, heard, and supported. As Matthew 19:14 reminds us, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,” we encourage children to explore and grow in their spiritual journey freely. We also support parents in their vital role, as emphasized in Deuteronomy 6:6-7: “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children.” We provide resources to help parents extend faith conversations into their daily lives, reinforcing the lessons learned in Sunday School.

We are passionate about creating a community where children can ask, seek, and find, guided by Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” By focusing on strong foundations and a deep understanding of God’s Word, we empower young hearts to navigate life’s journey with confidence and grace. The VTCA Sunday School Ministry is where young believers find their spiritual home, equipped to live out their faith with purpose and joy.
